Cant Access Plex Free Live TV

Hi,

I seem to no longer have the Free Live TV option available in Plex (using up to date Plex Media Server on a x64 PC). I have been able to access the service fine a few days ago (where I discovered Sassy Sasquatch for the first time).

In an attempt to resolve the problem I unpinned Live TV from the menu bar and then wanted to re-add it but the Live TV option is no longer available under the More menu.

While logged in, I then tried to directly access a Free Live TV web page eg. https://watch.plex.tv/live-tv/channel/animation and I then get the attached 500 error. I also checked using the Live TV service through the Plex app on my TV and it says "Service currently unavailable. Please try again later."

Its been a few days and I am still having the same problem.

I checked the Plex service status page and there are no problems indicated with any of the services at https://status.plex.tv/

Anybody else experiencing the same?

Move to a first world country and fsck the ANC.

Thank you for the post since I was also struggling with this for nearly a month. Realised that PLEX does not have any e-mail technical support to help, albeit that the message says you must contact technical support. This dispite having a lifetime pass.

What is worst about the matter is that the marketing of Plex says you could watch their movies (on-demand) and live TV (e.g. Reuters or EuroNews) from anywhere in the world! Is South africa not "anywhere in the world"? How can local restrictions dictate what an American company should do? Therefore I agree with @Brian_G there is certainly a possibility Multichoice/DSTV may have (helped) trigger this.
