Load shedding warning from Eskom

Eskom has warned that there is a high risk of load shedding because of severe power constraints caused by maintenance and unplanned outages at many of its electricity-generating units.

Should have expected this, as I believe they are asking for an increase again, so as per usual routine, they have to make us aware of how dependent we are on them:mad:

Tonight on my way to King Shaka Airport I noticed that all the street lights were off from my suburb all the way until the first robots at the airport. There were technicians working on one of the sub-stations near the airport, when I got back home the lights were on again. Coincidence or subliminal load-shedding of non-essential lights to avoid mass load-shedding? If it was intentional, that is actually good work!

Lack of coal from Openheimers mines, an urgent switch from Gupta's mines, no open tenders followed.

Lethabo boiler explosion took out 600MW

Expect a huge diesel bill next year for this.

Whether it be water or electricity supply, I am thankful every day for the benefits the public reaps from nationalisation. #VoteANC

I'm so glad RamaLectic has a handle on things at Eskom, as without his intervention we'd have been in the dark a long time ago..
