Loading a Telkom Mobile 60+60GB data bundle on old 8ta Sim?

I found my old 8ta 60+60GB sim that expired almost a year ago. The sim is still working and I am able to dial *180# etc, but will there be a problem loading a new TM 60+60GB R1800 data bundle on this sim card?

I'm just wondering because when I go to the bundle purchase menu I get a messge:

"The bundle can only be used on the Telkom Mobile network, ensure you are in Telkom Mobile coverage"

Is this just referring to no roaming on MTN?
 
There won't be any problem loading TM 60+60 Gig, just to be on the safe side buy R10 airtime to make sure the load line is still activated.

The only problem with the product only works on TM Network Only and doesn't roam on MTN! Please visit TM coverage page make sure you are covered before parting away with your hard earned cash.

Yes, the 60+60GB bundle works ob the Telkom Mobile covered areas. You will not be able to use the bundles while roaming or when you are in areas where there is no Telkom Mobile coverage. Please refer to this link to check coverage in your area.

Your issue, I think, is that while the SIM still seems to work for you, it has been recycled on Telkom Mobile's systems. You need to sort that out before the recharge will be successful. I just went through this with MTN.

On Vodacom if i recall correctly it is 6 months before they recycle without making any calls.

Don't be fooled. 8ta/Telkom Mobile NEVER recycle number. They NEVER expire. Yes its true not sure why but they just don't. Telkom Mobile has a huge problem with their system.
 
I have loaded the TM 60+60GB and the speed is great. Literally more than twice as fast as Cell C and the Cell C tower is closer to me. Good riddance Cell C!
