Loadshedding is back

Fired up the old genny just to check it works. Battery is dead, and seems the charger is poked. Some work for the weekend then

Just had a 30mins despite being nowhere near a scheduled time. Last time this shyte was the order of the day too, just shut off when they feel like it, fark your warnings and time to shut stuff off/down.

SO glad to be getting out of this sh*thole

It's interesting how some people can't leave without making noise about it.

WTF are they allowing illegal strikers to cause loadshedding. Get security in and deal with them...

Not affected personally as the our battery system will get us through any loadshedding...

The security wouldn't be able to clear the road from which the non striking workers and the coal arrive for example.

You need an interdict before, then the police will act.

Laws etc already prevent people from being on roads, within a few meters if memory serves, unless crossing etc. Standing in/loitering on/blocking is already breaking the law, added to that, illegal strike, round em up and lock em away, no interdict needed for police to do their jobs

Try to get the police to do that.

From first hand experience, you won't manage to without an interdict (especially if a political organization or union is involved).

Indeed. Thats the problem

Illegal strike, sabotage at substations and apparently blocking access to national key points, arrests = 0

go figure

With security I am referring to all forces, police & armed included.

Surely it can't be that hard to find someone willing to their job....

Something's changed quite a bit, then.
Whole bunch of us were rounded up and fined by the police for standing on a road in 1979. We were watching the drag races from the Lanseria bridge.

Not loadshedding but our power in Garsfontein/Woodhill went down after 00:00 last night and is still down.

Probably another cable theft as we've been a target the last year or so. But not excluding sabotage either.

SADF should be involved. In the "Old SA" this wouldn't be tolerated.
