Once again, I disagree. I don't feel that anything I am doing constitutes abuse when I am using it all withing the limits and definitions of what is allowed.
To me abuse is going outside of those limits or hacking the system to get more than your fair share.
Uncapped is uncapped for which I am paying a full rate. But I rather went uncapped and pay for an international server than hack the local servers so that others cannot get a connection. I feel very strongly about that, because it is abusing our "local resources" and lock other legitimate users out.

The only ones who complain about it are those greedy buggers who are already raping the servers to such an extent that nobody else can get a single connection. I feel naught for them.
LOL gary that describes your mweb abuse to a tee. You and a few others forced mweb to stop the trial and everyone else lost out because of a few greedy people. Absolutely sickening that you have a boycott mweb link when you and a few others are the reason they canceled it haha, very funny dude. You see uncapped and just went mad with unbelievable amounts of downloading, you did not stop for one second to think about everyone just your greed drove you to rape the shyte out of mweb's uncapped service. Mweb messed up though i don't think they thought for one second people would abuse the service so badly. They never factored in the greedy little beep beeps who think about only themselves.

How do you even know how much I downloaded on M-Web? where do you even get the figure of 400 Gb from? My average on M-Web was 80-100 Gb a month.. for which I have screen caps to prove if necessary. Why are you picking on me?... I mean other than your intense dislike for me and your habit of picking on everything I say in every thread?
That is hardly abuse... not like the guys who were doing 400 or 800 Gigs a month on M-Web... but even then... what was wrong with that? It was advertised as an uncapped service? How did they deny anyone else a connection? I don't know of anyone who could not get a connection to M-Web? anyone?

You don't think that the lawyers would have been after us years ago if they had a shred of legal evidence to stand on or were interested in making a couple of thou out of litigation? Seriously? Do you even know anything about the law? You don't think they already know what is going on in South Africa? And that if they were even remotely interested in pursuing it they would know where to look? You don't think it would be easy enough for them to invent a screen name and come and follow this board and others for a few months? Come on... don't be naive.
I dunno about you... but I have nothing to hide and I have done nothing illegal. If you have something you are concerned about perhaps you should not be allowing your IP address to be recorded here on a public message board?

My opinion: the internet should not be subject to regulation. I recommend that a few people read up about the recent stuff around ACTA and the ridiculous mandates it wants to make. Local bandwidth has many uses. I find it an awesomely cheap VPN connectivity method, which makes doing stuff between all my different networks all that much easier.
And Gary, tracking someone by their IP address is a bit presumptuous. There are way too many ways around that.

Abuse of what? If he had a Telkom 5GB, and their billing system made an error, whereby he effectively got uncapped. Yes, that would be abuse. But he has UNCAPPED! Uncapped means no cap. It's not an uncapped service with a fair usage policy. It is an uncapped service, that he is paying a premium for. He's paying for bandwidth, not usage.
No one wants to stand together and demand lower bandwidth prices. And even when we get the opportunity to share something affordable, we don't stand together and make it available to the community.
