Local Blu-Ray live service

Cool idea.
Can't wait for a thread on here titled: "I used BD-Live with my rented Spiderman 4 BD & now my cap is moertoe!"

You just have to love the marketing spin. It is more cost effective to launch a new division "Axxess Media" and store BD content locally possibly looking at terrabytes worth of content that has to be kept local instead of just lowering bandwidth costs in line with THE REST OF THE F*******G WORLD.

So if you buy a blu-ray disk of some of the lesser mainstream titles forget about using the bd content as it just wont be available locally.

Good strategy there.

BD-live isn't for watching movies from the internet, it is for extra content such as review and trailers relating to a blu-ray disc you are watching.

How is it that Bluray discs went live and we're still waiting for proper Xbox Live support? Seems some companies care more than others.

If I should ever own a bluray device I would never allow it to connect to the internet.
Sony probably uses that as an excuse to upload crap into your player to tinker with the firmware.

Is SK bigger than MS in SA? That might be a possibility as to why we havent seen an official launch of Xbox live here yet...

Yes, crippleware and antitrust programs to limit what you can do. They probably will be alerted when you take off the cover, or even try and unlock the player. Then they will send someone to arrest you.

i didn't even know BR players came with internet connectivity / ethernet port.

Shame, No use for Idiotic South Africa

Only the Xbox fanboi dreamers think cheap video/movie streaming will one day be affordable in South Africa. What a joke.

oooh, men in black trivia. what fun. why not rather try and get all the latest releases on the format 1st before teasing us with such unmissable treats?

what is the point of even mentioning it? it's of no use here
