With the local only cap is it stil posible to play games like counter-strike localy? Beacause you will still need to connect to steam to retrieve the local servers... so my first guess is that u cant cus u cannot connect internationaly? Am i right?

im not a gamer, so cant confirm this..

but look on the forum for a solution called RouteSentry. There are many posts on this forum where people say they have an international account (say webafrica 1gb prepaid) and a local account (say openweb 30gb local only) and use RouteSentry to let steam use international account and game using local account.

No, you can't play Steam games exclusively with a local account.

But you can buy 1GB prepaid from Webafrica for R70 and only use it to log into steam. Once Steam is logged in, you should be able to disconnect and reconnect with your local-only solution.

What general_koffi said is all bs..

You need to maintain a Steam connection while playing online. You do this by using RouteSentry. It will then send all all the gaming data via your local account and maintain a Steam connect via your Int account. I use this setup and it works flawlessly.

Actualy you are wrong, you can disconcect from your 1 account and connect with anouther and steam will cary on working. I just tested it with my SAIX account and my local only IS account so it definitely works. That said, useing RouteSentry is the better option.

using that option... is it posible to connect 2 or more pc's thru a router and still have dedicated accounts for int and local?

You can use 2 or more PC's but you have to set the router to bridge mode and let the PC's create there own connections.

I have route centry , and its very good.
Best program ever!!!
well , without it i wouldnt have a good time :(

And another question:
Do you have to use RouteSentry on every pc connected through the router or just on pc?
