Local-only Dynamic DNS [beta]

It should be:
http://update.dynami.co.za/update.php?key=<key>d&host=all doesnt work... says 404 on update.php

However that update mechanism may be discontinued once we find a suitable windows client as it is being heavily abused by some people.

Anyone else having problems with the script running RouterOS 4.3?

It just simply refuses to run.

Worked just perfectly up until 4.2

I actually haven't had a chance to test the script on any RouterOS v4.x systems yet. Are there any indications in the log of what the problem might be?

How do you make the routerboard execute the script on a relog, or do i have to schedule the script to run say every 15 mins ?
You have to schedule the script to run regularly - some recommendations I've seen say 5mins. Its really up to you how much load you want to put on your RouterBoard. The script only contacts the update server if the IP has actually changed.

That's the problem, nothing shows up in the log at all.

Almost as if there's a bug or a syntax change.

Hey ambo, This thing does its job alright but when I use the updater it does not display the updated IP in the "list hosts" section.

Is this because of the delay in all of the DNS that has to update?
How long after the IP has changed and the updater is run does the domain update its IP on the Website?

I must say I'm glad someone decided to do this and that there is support for MikroTik... I take my hat off to you!

The website listing is instantaneous. Its only the DNS that is slightly delayed and that is due you the caching in your ISPs server and not any of our servers.

Are you sure that the updater ran? Did you manually trigger it or run it with the scheduler? There should be some lines in the log in your Mikrotik telling you if it worked and if it detected an IP change.
