Local WoW server a possibility?

If you're not sharing a connection with more than 2 people or downloading/msn/browsing while you are playing then the lat is exactly the same on 384 and 4mb.

Yes it used to be. Not anymore since Ulduar came. You are welcome to come to my house and try it out, it's not the same anymore once you hit 25man raids.

I'm on 384 and it is exactly the same that it was since Kara.

I'm sure theres a mod for that :p

Shot dude! At the moment though my PC is struggling to keep up with...well WoW! lol. All the addons aren't helping either i suppose.

Wow Player> I love the social aspect
Others> Yeah...but we wanna raid now.
Wow Player> Say what? Why don't we chill and run AQ25 or something for fun. would be cool to check it out!
Others> Ok. So let's go Ulduar in 10 then?
Wow Player> but there aren't enough ppl online?
Others> No ways....we'll pug
Wow Player> wtf?
Others> what do you mean?
Others> -EPGP 5000 to [Wow Player] for being a noob
Wow Player> wtf?
Others> ok invites start in 10

In BC we craved the content.
In Wrath we have so much content but we're all stuck in chasing it like a job sometimes.

I guess my point is that WoW is awesome in small bite size pieces..raiding consistently and more than three times a week just eats way too much time! Oh how I do love my lock though!

indeed... it also eats the cap. takes like 50mb per raid, quite alot if you only have 500 a month!

And with this new Seacom, wouldn't it the chances of a Local server increase???

Bandwidth Prices will drop

Yea, all a ploy to get more subscribers onto the iBurst network, check here: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=184723 to see how iBurst struggles to get even their most loyal subscribers decent ping times to WoW

They had to resort to giving out static IP addresses and special routing done on their side for WoW gamers. This thread: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=186079 shows you that the so-called upstream problem they had still exists.

And they want to convince me that iGame (owned and operated by iBurst) will be any different?

LOLZOMG!

Yea, we've lost interest in the power of online petitions.
Blizzard have the facts, we don't really need to prove to them that it's viable if it is actually viable.

bla bla bla bleh this thread is going nowhere about a topic that will not happen can a mod plox lock it

LOL good one... come on guys...

Dont be a sucker for punishment. You guys keep doing it to yourselves !

This poor post is reminds me of my dog watching me eat. He'll sit there with that longing hope for a morsel. The difference is that my dog gets the odd morsel, wheras we will never get a legal server.

Has there been any official update after the negotiations between iGame, Megarom & Blizzard since the article?

Hope the iGame & Megarom folks can twist Blizzard's arm.
