Lol @ shard

Not to be funny, but this sentence right there is the definition of being smuck. What's your guild name please, i want to make sure to avoid it like a plague..must be a bunch of arrogant pricks in there.

On the contrary. The Guild he is in is an Awesome cassual guild. But that is just it, casual. An awesome bunch of people playing in P&V. Theshogun was in it too but he was a hardcore raider and moved on. He can tell you that P&V is an awesome fun guild. But nothing more. I miss that guild :p

But CoC on Spinebreaker is just as fun. Also a very relaxed guild with some serious guys in it also. We progress quickly and good but in the same guild we have casuals also. a Nice mix of players

I love the way that ppl get so bleak for being rejected entrance to a guild. IE boomrooker.

Shard was a serious raiding guild. Therefore their wow was serious business. If you only social then you not gonna get in. Deal with it.

Sorry to hear about your disband. Incidently was FroggySa still in there?

Thanks man. Froggysa was still there but he was one of the core Raiders who went casual.
Unfortunately he moved to Aus and couldn't make Raiding times anymore.

Dude i was only rejected cause i dint agree with there GM on these forums along time ago.

but i gotta thx them for rejecting me would not have been able to take a SEROUIS raid leaders crap.

Um, lol. Thankfully all Apps were posted in the officer section of the forums so if you'd like I can post your app and the officers comments.

I think diabolus was trying to make a point based on what Boomrooker said.

And who you calling casual! I am a harcore player ... 6 months of the year that is ... :p

Well were getting big 250 members and we downed Maggy and got Kara and ZA on farm.WE got people thats ready for BT
Well thats what http://be.imba.hu/ says not sure if its true.

But yeah in Pap en Vleis is not Hardcore yet we got a few groups runing heavy pve.

Thing i like most is the way we all suffer from lag but we still get the job done :)

Well pnv had it bad while ago alot people left but most came back and the new GM is cool he actually was voted to be GM in guild.

people in the guild is what makes the guild fun not how many times we killed gruul :)

Yeah, i know Froggysa in RL...well havent seen him in a while due to the whole Aussie thing OFC. :P

Ok, You are a hardcore casual then :D

Yeah we got a few people that want to see more raiding before WOTLK hits but i think it maybe too late for them to get to BT.
I am actually not taking part in raiding do a HC run here and there for badges.
Like Pvp more and ganking gnomes also busy lvling my hunter.
That noter thing thats more fun than these so called elite guilds lvl 70s only.
You actually have people that lvl with you.
I know people asking for boosts can get anoying but we got few people that actually enjoy boosting lowbies :)

Remember being boosted by you when i just started wow in PNV.

It's not about casual or hardcore. It's about the attitude of certain people....boomrooker not exactly being an "ambassador" of how "awesome" Pap en Vleis is supposed to be with his posts...even making this thread is simply pathetic...i mean come on, what "awesome people" feels the need to make this thread ?

Shard was actually not hardcore per definition, it's as that guy from the A-team always say "i love it when a plan comes together" . Shard had the right people, the same goals, the same schedules...it just worked. In the end, 9-12 months is a very long time to not expect people leaving and changing goals...and that's what happened. Once core members move on, the momentum is lost and it eventually becomes a challenge to get 25-players together who actually -wants- and -can- be there vs. simply reverting to chilling around doing random Kara and ZA runs.

Recruiting 250 players to make a solid 25-man was also not part of Shard's goals. There were max 25-35 people in the guild that raided together and that's it. That's probably the only 'hardcore' part of it in the sense that Shard didn't recruit "for the hell of it" .

when I joined you to have a nice relaxing leveling guild it was about 8 of us now you are quite big guess a lot of ripple effect people joined after you broke up

The problem with guilds less this is yes, you will have people leaving some officers some to other guilds some or irl its part of the game, it is up for the management, and I can tell you this from my own experience by running a guild its is not easy, to keep the guild going, you need to constantly recruit open your raid window the 25 people you see in there 20 of them might not be ready a next month, not to mention if your not on top of the server its even worse other guilds leech players who get a better future also you make some good and some bad mistakes its all about running the guild keeping it together trying to keep people calm its like a part time job.

I am pretty confident that you had a 25man force once and it worked ace for a few months but some of them moved on moved out and you ended up dieing slowly but surely because you either didn't prepare or the decisions made was unfortunate but I'm sure those management will learn and come back even stronger =)

Still a Relaxing guild but with 250 people you will get one or 2 odd balls.

Ugh, schadenfreude. /golfclap.
At least we accomplished a lot in a relatively short amount of time. Unfortunately when your Core leaves and you have to mass recruit noobs who just totally pollute the raidpool, this is what happens. It's why Death&Taxes disbanded too.

Fortunately I've found a guild that's just as kickass, if not more so. One of the pros of not publicly burning your bridges on forums with guild sh.ttalk, eh, Boom?

Well , true. No denying that, but i must add this, i had a blast. I couldn't have asked for a better WoW experience than that. And admittedly, 12 months is also a very good stint for what Shard achieved, why ruin it by milking it to death?

I'm thinking Tombraider here, sometimes you have to stop before it becomes a bad taste in the mouth.

Yeah feels good to see you fall on your face after thinking you were all that :)
And the Shard bridge is one bridge i am glad i burned :)
Cause it was not a very stable bridge and there was no way to get to otherside with that bridge too many people with bigheads on it.

Good luck dude that was long time ago anyway.

I'm not so sure continuing this crusade of yours is exactly wise. A large number of ex-guild members have already or are busy moving to top EU guilds like Retribution, Paramount, Reapers Elite Guard, No Guns Blazing, and top SA guilds like Natural Perfection and Rez Sickness.

It's not just one bridge you're burning.
