I'm out here in the sticks, and the only WISP providing coverage here is a pain to work with and frequent, lengthy outages are common. Recently Vodacom 3G coverage has improved significantly, though, so I'm considering replacing my current WISP hardware and subscription with a 3G WiFi router.
I see a cheap Huawei 3g WiFi router on Takealot, but that requires an additional Huawei 3G/4G dongle, which is not included. I do have a Vodacom K4305 USB dongle, which I believe is manufactured by Huawei. Can anyone confirm whether or not this does work with the dongle-less Huawei router?
And in general, can anyone recommend a good, not too expensive, 3G WiFi router? Matrix Warehouse has a D-link one for about R1,200, but in the past I've had bad experiences with various D-link products, so I'd like some recommendations here.
All responses would be greatly appreciated. Tnx!!
