Looking for a music mixing program.

I looking for a program that plays songs from a playlist but that eliminates the quiet fade out at the end or even the quiet beginnigs of a song. It must basically replace the job of a DJ to keep the music at a party constantly "alive".

But it musn't be a program where you have to manually edit each song.

It must be free of course.

iTunes can crossfade songs into each other, it works quite well

WinAmp also does cross-fading well. For parties I usually set it to fade in the first 10sec of each song and to fade out the last 25sec of each song.

Agreed. WinAmp's also great if you want to do some advanced visualisations .

Never known about this functionality because I'm not really a music junky. I've got my little collection of mp3s ... and that's it.
