Hi everybody,
Are there any VoIP solutions out there where a VoIP phone for instance, sits on my desk, but runs with a cable to the Internet router ?

I don't want WIFI anymore throughout the house, as my pc will be connected with a cable to the router.

I want the same for my phone.
I use Openserve Fibre from Vox. Already contacted them. They don't have anything I'm looking for.

Thanks for any help.

Any VOIP desk phone will do - for example if you get a VOIP account with Euphoria, just order a desk phone at the same time. It connects via Ethernet cable to your switch or router.

Or if you have a VOIP provider already, something like this: https://www.takealot.com/yealink-sip-t21p-e2/PLID71829108

Remember to get a phone with a power supply, as you won't have POE (power over ethernet).

Yes I highly recommend Yealink Desk phones, they are great quality and easy to setup.

You can get a cordless dect phone. Its not wifi, comes with its own base that takes the lan cable.
They cost double the desk phone's price. Snom has good ones if you are willing to pay R3k odd. Dont buy cheap dect phones. Call quality sucks.

You can also get a sip trunk from somewhere, install a sip client like groundwire, and take calls over LTE. It will use almost 0 data.

Don't mess around with cheap handsets, they are nasty and frustrating, Get the best possible: Siemens Gigaset range. May cost a few bob more, but you will thank me in the long term.

I can also vouch for Siemens Gigaset, great phones and you can also plug in a POTS line
