Looking for advice on debt collection

Hi , can anyone assist? I had an account that went into arrears. I have been paying the account for three years which was collected by a legal firm call centre. They have exorbitant charges so you don't want to call or email because they really charge you. As from November 2018. They have stopped deducting from my account. I have been checking my statement since then. And nothing has been deducted. All they ever called me for was to settle my amount. They said they would charge me R550 for a paid up / settlement letter and that was in April 2018. I am not sure what the process is from here? As the company hasn't been helpful ? They have not confirmed via telephone if this is indeed paid up. I am not sure what to do? Can someone please assist?
