Looking for componant or method to process media files

I've googled, but probably not using the correct terms...

I'm looking for a componant, .net method, script that i can process media files.

Simular to extracting mp3 tag info, but just media files info...

Frame size, codex, time, etc

Anyone know where to look ?? Tnks

Do you want to just get info from the videos?

I know there are components, (ive used some) when you upload a mp3 file to a website, you process it via said component and extract the tags.

I need something similar, but to access media file info/tags once uploaded.

I'm primarily developing in vbscript (asp) but can work with a .net method.
