Hey, Im in strand. Having a Strand WUG would be awesome.
Im just not sure about the costs though, and we might be a bit far from the nearest tower closest to CT

Theres not reallly high sites in Strand, the best would be on top of a building in beach road.
We need to get more potentials for this, having a WUG only for 2 people so far is not worth it.

Can you join CTWUG and show your support for Strand. Try get more people on. Theres always been a following for Strand but its always been one at a time. Im gonna go have a look at a old age home just before N2 Strand side thats 4 storys and has good roof access. See what I can see from there. Thing about Strand is its completly flat and yeah the only real tall buildings are on Beach road.

Im in the area of the Firestation, the Overwacht area
People have tried a million times and failed, no need to try again. But there are loads of small "friend networks" going on which you can join, just non of them want to be affiliated with a WUG and even less with CTWUG.
St Topraz in Strand, already have a 100000's of APs on it, since it is the only flat building in the "golden mile" that allows APs on the roof. And the owner of the farm high up against the Helderberg also kicked off most people there and the remaining masts are all full or don't allow new users.
The hill up against the Rome Glen development, next to Sir Lowerys Road, (Behind medi clinic), that farmer also doesn't want a mast on his property.
I'm willing to help pay for anything on the Helderberg if you succeed in getting spots.

A high site is not a nesessity to start something, just the will to do it.
Get some guys together, have a braai and a few beers and you will be supprised to see how quickly things can start from there.

Like i say, no one wants to connect their WUG's, because the moment they do that, some fool shouts out "OMG LETS JOIN CTWUG!", and none of them want that and then they all disband again, back to their little WUG-CELLs.
If there was an alternative to CTWUG, you can probably try it, but mention "CTWUG" somewhere in the helderberg area and people will start stabbing you with stuff.
