LTE Uncapped 24 month contract cancellation

So got a call now i have to pay R4372 to cancel they will not honor their side as i am not abusing my LTE i read the T/Cs to them that didn't help, explained they breached contract didn't help and said Jacqui has to contact you personally for the fees to be removed.

Good luck to anyone cancelling..think i need a triple bells for Braai Day...

As far as i am aware it can be but have no idea how to go about it, funny thing is i did email Jacqui..got no response to date..lol
 
I would be careful of stop orders. Yes it prevents them taking your money, but those nice big links they have to ITC will be quick to mark you as defaulting on those accounts every month for how ever long it takes you to sort the problem out with Telkom. And only once that is done, can you have the "proof" needed to ask the ITC providers to remove the information...

How did you initially contact Telkom to notify them you want to cancel?

Went to local Telkom direct store, told them the situation that i want to cancel without penalties due to telkom changing the FUP and agreement.

I wonder if you will get the same story if you send a cancellation form via email to them..

· There was no irregular usage picked up from our technical support after the case was brought to their attention.

· There is full coverage in your area.

· No issues raised pertaining the handset on the aforementioned case logged.

So guess who is using 10TB's next month...**** telkom seriously

PS. Does anyone know where i can find 4k things to download and delete

@willsotaku or others - I am on a crappy 2 Mbps ADSL line as and would be happy to take over your contract if you are in the JHB/PTA area (I'm in Randburg) and I can test it at my place to confirm it is working (there is coverage in my area but i didn't get a package when the special was on).

That is very childish and spiteful - the only people you will hurt, will be the LTE users in your area...not Telkom.
 
@willsotaku: I fail to understand why you wanted to cancel so badly? By your and Telkom's admission, you were not breaching the FUP so why go and pay nearly R5k in termination fee's when the solution must still have been suitable for your needs?

If a company breaches their terms they can go f*** themselves i will be trying to reclaim that R4k asap the issue is it might meet my NEEDS now but what about data growth? what if one month i decide to install 5 new steam games? then i can't...but i have "uncapped"
