Hi there,

Is there a way to cancel my LTE uncapped before the end of the contract? I'm willing to pay a reasonable early cancellation fee.

My connection is just all over the place, it is super fast one moment and dead slow the next and the nr of bars just don't even make a difference. The whole point was to stream video's which I can't do as the connection usually sucks in prime time. Been trying for 5 minutes to post this as the page keeps timing out, it is dreadfull and I'm tired of it.

Thanks

Don't know if you can cancel, but are you using an external antenna?

Having the same issues. Speeds have dropped considerably over the past 2 weeks from around 30Mb/s to around 1Mb/s.
I also have the antennae installed and have a solid 3 - 4 bars

Looks like you are on 1800Mhz (FDD) not 2300Mhz(TDD). That is why your speeds are terrible and upload is faster..

Email Greg Roberts on RobertGL@Telkom.co.za

He will either get the issue with the under performing tower resolved, or insist on early termination without penalties, if he cannot.

What's your usage levels at? If you an 'abuser' IE consistently using in excess of 300gb's a month, you shouldn't have any difficulties getting the contract terminated without penalties. Telkom don't want any heavy hitters on their LTE network as there is no money to be made off of them.

Hi, I work for Telkom and can assure you that you can cancel your uncapped LTE possibly without penalties due to the signal strength. Which area are you in?

I'm getting the idea to do the same. there's no point if my connection gives me 40mbps but only for a few hours a day after which you cannot even ping anything past the router is dead as a doornail for 30mins then suddenly back again...

Telkoms SMTP servers say this email address does not exist.

Thanks. my service is back now so i wont bother him.

It seems the tower loses connectivity or something sometimes almost like its "rebooting". so although you're still connected at LTE speeds no data can go anywhere.

Maybe its related to the flooding we've had in the area...
