It's extremely fast. The game I'm making (VALA) runs at just over 30FPS on my 1020/920, but is 59FPS constantly on the 1520 (it could go higher but it is locked to max 59).

I've had a 1520 since December. Love it. Could never go back to a dinky little phone again. Typing this right now on the 1520.
How do I carry it? I'm 6'3" so have big hands and pockets. And for 10 years at least I've had a man-bag.

I'd be coming from a Note 2 if I get this... Only thing stopping me is the pay-in from Autopage on a Talk 240 is R7k... It costs R6k for the Note 3... I don't think it should be R1k more IMO

All I see there is the 1520 with a Smart S at R469 p/m... Nothing with a Talk 240... I just downloaded the Feb upgrade price list from them and I'm looking at a pay-in of R7621 and R6759 for the Note 3 LTE... I still feel its ridiculously overpriced

... Think of it this way, my contract is a Top Up 135 so I gladly benefit from his upgrades...
He is still happily using a Nokia 5800 which he refuses to change... Partly due to very serious eye problems and partly because he loves his phone too much... He only uses the minutes, no SMS and no data. So in that case, it still makes sense
If anyone can find a good replacement to that Talk 240 and the same price or cheaper, I'd happy look at it

Wow, that's a great price. I couldn't wait, so paid a premium.
It is HUGE. But I can assure you it becomes more "normal" after a month or so. As it does, other phones feel quite dinky. Couldn't ever go back to a piffling 4.8" screen.
