Lumia 1520

Dunno about covers. Never looked. I ride my phones bareback.

lol me too usually but looking at the condition of my iphone after just 6 months of usage I doubt my lumia can last like 2 years....

can import them.
check wpcentral for covers
otherwise can use chinese sites to import.
I did so for a clear 920 cover.

actually deal extreme (DX dot com)

The 2 months wait is the main reason why I do not use them anymore.

Yeah China Mail is not the fastest service. You should use sellers using sigapore post. They arrive in about 2 weeks.

The dashcams and I ordered via AliExpress took 4 days from order to delivery, and two of those were a weekend. Ordered Thurs night, delivered next Tues morning.

@cavedog: getting used to the 1520 yet?

My 1520 (RM-937) runs well except for unstable Broadband LTE/3G connection that reverts to EDGE(2G) whilst in an excellent 3G/LTE covered area. For example my Huawei B593 (Vodafone B2000) router is in 3G mode but the 1520 in EDGE in the same area. I have returned the phone to Nokia RSA awaiting report back.
EDIT: Problem resolved - Vodacom Network area problem.

Any sites to use that make use of sigapore post?

Well you can use the same site. http://www.aliexpress.com just edit the filter to have signapore post included and china and hong kong post excluded.

Yeah its a freaking awesome device. LOVE the huge screen it just works better. The only real problem is when I wear pants with smaller pockets and I jump into my car. After a while it seem to fall out. Not a big issue but just being careful until I receive my cover.

I have a similar problem on Vodacom. I see it seems to prefer edge over 2 or 3 bars of 3G coverage. The phone works fine with other networks though. Not a very big issue actually and I seldom notice it only when I want to browse a site quickly and its slow cause its on EDGE.... That said I find it switches to LTE way more quickly than my iphone and actually will prefer 1 or 2 bars of LTE over full 3G signal.

For covers check out za.mobilefun.com. They have Nokia covers for the 1520. I've ordered one from them.

I love this phone. The size is intimidating but for once I can type properly on a cell phone. I really got to appreciate the strengths of Windows Phone. The tiles work brilliantly on a phone. iOS and Android now look like an outdated mobile GUI paradigm. I want to do thing fast on my phone and WP is great at getting to the right app/information quickly. No unnecessary eye candy and stupid wizzy-washy effects.

Update to this problem: Received communication from Nokia RSA GM that this problem is receiving the highest priority to resolve. Will update when resolved.

Of course! Just got my 1520 back from Nokia Care after rear cover was replaced (physical damage caused by me). Immediately loaded the WP8.1 Dev Preview. What a glorious machine this is!

One thing: WhatsApp is no longer available in the Store, at least for WP8.1. I should have loaded it before upgrading.

Im looking at the 1520 at the moment, do you get used to the size?
Im wondering if I should wait for the 930 or just get this one now. You guys still happy with yours?
Did the phone come with a wireless charger or is that an optional accessory?

It took me a week or so to get used to the size. Make no mistake, this is a massive phone. But I absolutely love it and cannot see myself going back to sub-5" devices. For some people it's just to big. For me, perfect. I have a manbag with the perfect pouch for the 1520.

Oh, and despite cracking the rear camera glass cover on a door handle, I won't be getting a cover. As I said, I ride this bearback.

Thanks for that, I was hoping you would respond as from the sounds of things you use your phone for similar things to what I would.
I have been holding off on an upgrade to see what happens with the 930 but I think I would probably prefer the larger screen and the 1520 will probably be cheaper anyway around launch time.
Now the question is do I wait until next months pricing or order it tomorrow...
