Lumia 920 Thread

I don't think its got anything to do with Nokia, more with MTN. I don't have any problem doing this with Vodacom.

Ah was looking at the middle of the string for code. I think you do have the latest firmware.

You should have os version : 8.0.10211.204

New update for Nokia Lumia (Firmware 1308) received last night on MTN

Adds Storage checker, and LTE on MTN (finally)

Also got Facebook Update (fixes that annoying reload after tapping on a post and going back)

and Nokia music update (Covers now show in Live tile)
 
Not seen this 1308 update on Vodacom yet, anyone else?
 
I'm on MTN Firmware 1249. Just checked for phone update, but nothing.
 
On 8ta, firmware 1249. No update available yet.

Could any of you find a decent 3G usage tracker, or is there a way to do it on the phone? I've migrated from an N8 to the 920, so I'm quite new to WP8.

Just bad that we will have to pay extra for LTE.

Wow, that's lame.

Is there a need for LTE though? I mean, until the price comes down, it's almost nice to have mobile data being slow just so you don't go bankrupt in a few minutes by mistake.
 
Shooooooh:whistle:I been waiting 11 days for my Lumia 920 from a Vodacom Store. Contemplating changing to something else should I not receive it by today. Mere fact I have to wait more than 5 days for a device I upgraded on is madness, I've upgraded at this store before btw and the 3 times I did it went super smoothly. Nokia are honestly not at a level to be letting Vodacom screw them up like this.

So which phone would one choose besides a Lumia 920? I already have a Samsung Android tablet (I am honestly not blown away by the hardware or small issues I have either with Kies or the actual OS). Android is great, but not the 2nd coming IMO, so I don't want to get a Galaxy S III or Note 2. Def no iPhone, I hate Apple immensely, so I'm left with your Sony's and HTC's?? No Z10, younger bro just got it too and from the little time I used it boy was it so underwhelming *yawn*

Don't change your phone, change your service provider. I got mine from Cell-C same day and they ported my number from Vodacom.

Yeah any other situation I would, it's a company account which already has other devices upgraded on it for this cycle so can't, but the next upgrade cycle I'm definitely moving the contracts. By then there will be better phones naturally and better packages "I hope"! Vodacom is utter garbage and they need to know this!
 
I got my Black 920 about 6 weeks ago. Apart from the freezes if I leave it overnight on the charging stand it runs like a dream. I have really learnt to like WP8, although it has a few shortcomings, which I expected and was ready to go without, I'm sure it'l get added/fixed soon enough.
