Lumia 920 Thread

Hi, got my 920 2 days ago, moving my N8 to backup status. So far I find the move from Symbian to Windows 8, easier than expected. One thing I'm still trying to figure out if there is an option to pay for apps with my airtime, or is the only option a card?

Its one of the things I miss from the Ovi store and my N8. I am on a topup R315 and always have some airtime available to spend on a few apps. I haven't bought any apps on the windows store yet for this very reason.

Nokia or windows should look at adding this function as it is possible.

Yep, I also miss that. Have the same contract and never use all of it.

Anybody found a solution for the rebooting issue. Mine seems to rebooting once a day approximately, and usaually when I surf the net.

No reboots on my side.

Have an issue with apps not updating automatically. The only my apps will update is if I go in the marketplace and find the app there and then click update.

The problem is that the marketplace doesn't list currently installed apps. Even the native Nokia apps do not update automatically.

Anyone else have this issue?

Well the Cyan one does, the Black is to plain!

Hey Signates,

My app called "Store" (looks like a windows shopping basket), is a live tile which updates with a number (5 at the moment),
This means there are 5 new versions of installed apps, available for download.
It must be a live tile- you might have removed it when you first got your phone? (voda phone btw)

Arahan,
Had maybe two reboots since got the phone (when you have to reset the time/date).
did have to do a soft boot once when it froze.
seems quite stable now, with last update (check you have the latest .211.).

Tjecco
did you import them or is someone shipping them in?

@rocco1

I got them at www.fireflytech.co.za

Someone on this forum posted that they sold those flip covers, but they were out of stock on that one so i got soft covers instead :)

At the moment I have mine in an old green sock, attached to a shoe string, hanging around my neck. Imagine the looks I get when I pull it out in a crowd somewhere...:D

Hi Rocco

I will check version this morning. The case-mate 'barely-there' case is awesome! Available from Vodacom.

Thx - will post later.

Aharon
- Are there any barely-there cases in different colours - don't want a black one?

Tjecco
- does the Nokia CC1043 Protective Soft Cover Lumia 920 - Cyan/Blue protect the screen from scratches if you put it face down?
(the barely there one claims to have raised edges that do that)

I got my phone on an MTN 200 anytime top up package. This morning I started trying to top up with some data, but what a frustrating story. According to MTN, Nokia does not allow self service with the Lumia series in South Africa, so anytime I want to top up, I have to dial 808 to get that done....
Do anyone have any idea what this is all about, and why Nokia won't have this feature for South Africa?
