Luno Support and Queries Thread

Been there. Done that. You cannot add a european bank account to Luno via a South African registered account. They won't allow multiple currency wallets to exist on the same account. It lends itself to exploitation of exchange control regulations , which is probably why they do it.

You need to register a separate EUR luno account to do this. And even then , you have another problem.

Luno doesnt have an exchange yet for EUR/BTC purchases (like it has for ZAR/BTC). You can buy BTC via their instant buy system in EUR , but it adds a pretty big fee (1.5% +)

Doing it from a foreign exchange works fine , but then you open yourself up to the market for 45+min for the BTC transfer to confirm on the blockchain and become available in Luno. During this time , the price may drop quite a lot - so its not secure enough for doing money transfers.

Great thanks for the info :) so annoying! To me thats how bitcoin would be really cool as a global currency.

Why is there a limit of 10 when selling ETH to ZAR using wallet? Is this limitation per day or per transaction?

Anyone notice anything weird with Luno layout in Chrome today? I can no longer see the Order Book and Recent Trades on the left and right of the screen unless I make the window nearly fullscreen. They go to the bottom of the window. It makes Luno unusable because I have to either have it open fullscreen or scroll down to see the orders and trades.

I would rather have the graph shrink as we narrow the window and keep the Order Book and Recent Trades on the sides.

All looks fine to me... maybe you control+scrolled(mousewheeled) by accident?

Not sure what it is. This is on my work laptop but I've never had this issue before. Used to be able to narrow the window and still see the Order Book and Recent Trades. It seems like Luno might have changed something on their side. I know the look of the order buttons have been updated in the last week or so. I deleted history and cookies etc.

This is what it looks like:

I need to widen the Chrome window to at least this much to be able to see the lists on the sides:

I used to be able to see the Order Book and Recent Trades (until today) on the sides with a view of this width. The width is narrow enough to hide Mybb ads on the sides of the forum pages.

Managed to get the window width I want but had to change the zoom to 80% instead of the default 100%. Works for now but everything is smaller.

Have the same issue on my PC at home. It looks like this. The Recent Trades and Order Book go to the bottom of the page.

See phishing via sms now.

Don't know if this has been mentioned. When withdrawing money it now adds the R8.50 fee separately. The page however still says you have to add it to your withdraw amount.

Hi Guys,

So this is probably a daft question, but how do i work out exactly how much Eth to pay a person.
For example - I purchase an item for R13 999 from someone. How do I work out how much eth to send so that
when he withdraws into rands from Luno.....he gets his R13 999 ? On two occasions i have tried to pay guys using
crypto transactions and both times they have told me that I had short paid. So obviously the withdrawal fees etc were for my account, but how do i account for that when transferring ethereum to the seller ?

thanks a million for your time.

Open Luno and go to the SELL section and enter an amount of ETH until its at R13 999.
Then add an extra hundred Rand or something to cover the price fluctuations.

Usually with crpyto payment you're given an ETH amount that's valid for a few hours or something, tho obviously with this volatility it's harder.

Thank you Soar, will give it a bash and see how it goes. Much appreciated
