Hi All,

My CEO is lucky enough to have just received his Mac Book Air
I need to import his Outlook 2007 mail PST's onto Entourage, i am really struggling, i have tried the demo of outlook2mac but when i move the file over to the mac i can select it under the import option, its grey'd out.

Please could you assist me

thanks
Marco

apple_newbie, sorry to say this, but there is no real straight-forward-select-file-push-import method. Way back when I got my MBP, I had to go through the same efforts, but for the life of me I can't find the bookmarks to all the stuff ... sorry

I used the following method:

1) Install Thunderbird
2) Import mail in Thunderbird
3) Open Entourage
4) Feel sick at how poor Entourage is compared to Outlook
5) Import

Worked for me when I got my Macbook 2 years ago but with using Outlook 2003 at the time.

my CEO has multiple pst's and he needs to see all of them
Will O2M import all psts into "one mailbox" in entourage??

do i have the option to archive\move emails into seperate folders, basically similar to how you would create new psts in your profile in outlook
?

No, all the e-mail will be kept in their respective folders, Inbox to Inbox, Junk to Junk ect.

thanks very much,
is there anyway that i can archive mail in entourage?? is there a size limit to the amount of emails you can keep-??

Sorry about all the silly questions, but i am really struggling here

There is no size limit , but its recomended you dont go over 2 gigs
Here is how you Archive:
Click File, and then click Export... .

Select the Items to an Entourage archive radio button, and then select the items you want to include.

Under Archive the following item types: , check the item types you want to include, and then click the right arrow to continue.

Choose whether or not you want to delete the items you are exporting and then click the right arrow to continue.

Enter a name for the archive file and a location to store it and then click Save.

To restore your Entourage mail:

Click File, and then click Import... .

Select Import information from an Entourage archive, and then click the right arrow to continue.

Locate the .rge folder you want to import, and then click Import.

ok so i take it that you not able to see more than "folder" at a time
so if my ceo wants to see his 2007 mail he needs to import the folder than do what he needs to and then import his current? but that would combine 2007 and 2008 ???
