Mac Predictions for 12 Sept

Hey guys, I don't want to be the spanner in the works, but how do I make this artwork thing work? When I go onto the music store it tells me I must register and then wants my American credit card details? Then what?
In step 1 click on the link for other countries.

Thanks, but South Africa is not in the list of options.
I tried UK, but it still asks me for my credit card details and the Country at the bottom of the form is "UK".

Do I just put my details in regardless?

I have no idea - it would suck if it was limited to full account holders though.

You can always email apple - they're pretty good at responding.

GiveMeSpeed : You need an iTunes Store account. You will need to provide the neccessary details such as your US Credit Card details. After that, it should start fetching cover art

The Itunes Store is restricted to certain countries and the content is not the same in the differnt countries it trades in. This is because of the deals Apple has with the record companies, tv companies and movie distributors. For instance the tv shows are only availble in the US store, not even the Canadian store has them, even though Canadians can tune in to US tv stations.

The way they make sure that you are in the country the store operates in is to link the store account to a credit card from that country.

There is a way around this, you can create an account without a credit card by buying a voucher. Another way is to create a .mac trial account (I think).
I think if you have an apple id, say with the zastore, you will will not be able buy on the store, since your address will be in SA.

Bummer.

Best way round it is to get a buddy to buy you a voucher in the US create an account that way.

Thats what I did ... only problem is that the more popular music we have in SA is much closer to the UK charts than the US ones. Alot of times I can't find music in the US store, that I can find in the UK one.
