The entry level M1 Air can run Lightroom and Photoshop with no issue for photo and image editing for majority of work loads. M2 Air will run them better

You are coming from an Intel that did it just fine…the M-series is better in every single way so that answers the question already.
I use a m1 air for all of my photo editing and Final Cut for my video work.
Going out on a limb I’m going to suggest I edit more images than most.

The "issue" then for the same price of 20k you can get an M3 Air (with 8gb). So then you have to decide the extra oomph vs double the Ram but with an older chip.

Unless someone really needs a laptop, the Mac mini is the best value PC on the market.
For lightroom most probably. PS it depends on the complexity of what you're doing, but probably. I've never regretted getting 16gb in mine (as well as the 1tb of storage).

And as posted above, it's not really a great deal.
Seems a bit odd to me, surely the M1 is not in production anymore, and the 8Gb/256Gb base model offering is going to be a thing of the past soon when stock runs out.
So a 16Gb/256Gb M1 (running Big Sur mind you!) seems a bit dodgy - either it’s a scam or someone found old stock in a forgotten box in a corner of a warehouse somewhere.
To echo what others have said - not a good deal, save money and get the 8Gb/256Gb one while you still can, or add a little extra and get the M2 one.
