MacBook Air or Pro

Not apple certified - the warranty is carried by the device - if i search for my warranty on my retina online - it says it expires in March 2014.

Thanks

The 13" Air's screen in my opinion is better than the 15" Pro's. Despite it being smaller the resolution is the same (1440x900) and the colours are slightly more accurate and vivid. I have owned both and the Air is awesome.

If anyone is interested ... I'm upgrading from an 2012 Air to a Pro.

2012 11" Macbook Air 64gb SSD with 4GB Ram (Ivy Bridge, 1.7/4/64FLASH, MD223xx/A)

With original packaging and used docked at home connected to a Thunderbolt display. Has had around 26 battery cycles to keep it fresh as possible. Kept clean by an anal retentive german.

Will be looking for around R7.5k

Falls into my price range BUT guy isn't bidorbuy verified etc

Edit: I see its a core 2 Duo. sucks

I'd be careful if I was you. Those specs are for the latest 2013 MBA that was launched and if you read to the bottom of the ad he puts in the actual specs and you can clearly tell it is a very old one (only 2GB RAM) and old processor. I was tricked by BidorBuy when buying a MBA so wouldn't advise anyone to buy it from them (unless it is from a verified store). Rather spend the extra cash and know what you are getting.

+1 don't touch that one -- serial number provided reveals it's a 2010 model, and nothing like the 1st part of the advert

I don't have the air but if I had to replace my work 15"Pro it would be with one. The 11 inch is not bad and I like the small form factor.

As for not being for a power user, BS. Ive a mate who is a developer and does everything on it.

The SSD also helps.

Personally I would opt for the 13"

I think it depends on whether or not you want to run vm's. The air has very little ram and upgrading it pushes the price into macbook pro territory.

Pity it wasn't 13 inch, 11 is a little too small.

The 11's PPI is higher than the 13, but yes, you sacrifice 2 inches for more portability and less weight.

1366 by 768 vs 1440 by 900.

If the one you found above is legit and in good nick, seems to be a good buy.
