Hi Guys

I have a new Macbook pro and it worked for a couple of days but now when you turn it on it just displays a white screen and tries to read a disc in the cdrom drive.

I've tried ejecting the disc but the macbook won't let me.

Any ideas?

If it displays a "?", it usually means your HDD is nuked.

Are you sure there's CD in there?

You can take it to an Istore or Digicape to get it looked at.

Press and HOLD the eject button for a good few seconds to try force the drive to eject a disc that's stuck.

Not sure about the white screen though

Sounds like a case for DOA. They will give you a new MacBook Pro. Just take it in immediately and insist on a new machine. I had a problem with a new MacBook once ... it just refused to charge from day 3 or 4. Took it in ... replaced it ... no questions.
