Would like to get involved in jewelry photography
According to the caption for his most recent shot he used a reversed 50mm and extension tubes. How does he do this?

Surely that's not a normal macro lens?
Or could it be one of those 5:1 magnification lenses?

EDIT : Got it
I'm using a Pentax K200d body with primes reversed on extension tubes.
Why would someone reverse their lens as opposed to buying a dedicated lens?
Better results - or cheaper?
The Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens looks like a relatively inexpensive way to get into macro photography. Has anyone had any experience with it?

Thats such a pretty picture, my mum would totally make that her desktop background.I still don't have a macro lens.

Thanks. She's welcome to it if she's looking for her next wallpaper - in fact let me have her screen resolution and I'll crop it to fit.Thats such a pretty picture, my mum would totally make that her desktop background.
And that is something that does not get changed often...
