Macro Photography

Did some macro on the weekend. This is one of the better shots using the 100mm Macro (hand held).

Awesome pic . . . I wonder why bees make such popular subjects for macro photography?

Another DIY jobby . . . old Canon EFs 35-80 with an even older Pentax 50mm duck taped to the front.

Awesome capture Bwana!!

Was messing around and decided to pair the 1.4x and the 100mm and play

Canon 35-80 (@54mm) with a reversed Pentax 50mm f/1.7 and a vivitar 2x TC . . . optical chaos! :D

and thanks. :)

@IRG - Nice shots there from your boet.

@Bwana - I learnt a bit from a workshop in the week. Most times I need a bit more working distance when using revered lenses or attaching a diopter to the macro and for that I need a longer focal length (as I've learnt). So decided to make my 100 a 140. Will try tonight making it a 200.

I'm quite proud of this one....

Correct me if I'm mistaken . . . he said eying the screwdriver set in front of him . . but the only difference between a teleconverter and an extension tube are the lenses and spacers inside?

You're going to take the lenses out of the TC to make an extension tube?
