Magic Trackpad

Will do. I pretty much use my mouse from the moment I get to work until I leave so it should be interesting.

Hah no worries. I just assumed you were losing your mind. :D

Battery is on 99% after 2 days of use. Going by that logic it should last 200 days...but then you can't use silly logic like that. ;)

Looks like I've found one downside - my fingers are getting tired from using this thing.

Pretty much! Should have thought it would happen though because with a mouse you use your hand to move it around, now you're swiping your fingers over a flat surface all the time. It's fine though, I'm sure it's just like playing guitar - you eventually HTFU and get used to it.

Other than this I'm still loving it and hoping I don't have to go back to using a normal mouse.

7 days of heavy use and it's on 89%. I reckon you'd get at least 4 months out of it.
The batteries that came with it were Energizer BTW.

No further issues, fingers are used to it now.

Quick update - battery level is on 68% after around 23 days of heavy use. Still very happy with it and using a normal mouse feels wrong now.

I bought mine last week. Very happy with it, I was concerned about the battery, and used to switch it off every night. But reading the posts, I think I will just leave it permanently on. I also bought two of those Apple chargers - I didn't realize they came with so many batteries (6 each) so now I am sitting with 12 recharge batteries and two Apple chargers - doubt I will ever run out of batteries :D

What is the Magic Mouse like? Is it recommended for a MBP?

I bought one and used it for less than an hour before getting rid of it. It's too small and uncomfortable.

Cool, I'm also switching mine off but I think you're right - haven't switch the keybaord at home off ever and the batteries are still fine.

The thread here is about the trackpad, but yes I have the magic mouse and it is a great addition to the MBP - the newer magic mouse which was released December 2009, that is. I also have the old wireless Apple mouse and don't recommend that one - I don't think it is available anymore anyway.

Nice, I'm keen to get one now.

Try it before you buy it, I used it for a few months but am back to my trusty logitech mx, on google maps the magic scroll get's in the way, very annoying.
