I actually quite enjoyed Ancient Aliens (Don't laugh, I know) not the whole thing but the first part of every episode usually involved them going to some really interesting archaeological site, walking around, and talking about it without any outlandish theories... It was always the second half when the show went off the rails and my eyes glazed over. Very sad that they couldn't showcase those kinds of sites as part of a reputable show.

They have dug up all the trees on the damn island by now but there are at least 10 more seasons they can manage..... this is on the face of it even worse than Ancient Aliens because there at least is a bit of doubt sometimes that they are not compltely pulling everything from their rectums.They made ten seasons of telly about this?

At this point I honestly have started to think AA is purposeful disinformation to blacken actually credible research on these things.... they CAN'T be making money from this.
And it's not like they haven't done disinformation campaigns they were caught for before. The most known (and brilliantly effective) one being the Doty-Bennewitz affair that ended up in unintentionally actually driving the target insane while later whistleblowers were simply not believed by the "UFO community" because it meant a great bulk of accepted research.... was literally made up by the NSA to keep the kooks busy and out of the way.

Again, there is no land in the middle of the Indian Ocean and radar has limits. And the way the pilot flew the course, he changed course while in between two air traffic control zones so that no one would think to look for the plane until it was out of range.

Dude, I'm talking about when the transponder stopped, which was in the South China Sea. It then managed to fly undetected over an American Military Base into the Indian Ocean? Please, pull the other one. Then only one random adventurer is the only guy that finds the parts?

Most of what you think is radar, is actually mostly just a display of transponder data for operators from the aircraft. Once the transponder itself is switched off a plane can "disappear" very quickly.
Very few people, even in the military, actively monitor raw radar returns. The raw data is in any case a mess, it picks up everything from birds to clouds that might have ice particles in them.

Standard procedure.
As the aircraft is US built, that would have bought the NTSB into the equation. If there is suspicion of foul play, any available evidence is usually handed over to the FBI to investigate from a criminal liability perspective. This would all also have been done in agreement with the Malaysian government.
As for the 2 years, that is probably when the FBI finally concluded their investigation and made a final determination.

Assuming there was one in the area, and assuming it did see something suspicious, all that it would report is a blip moving at X knots on Y heading without a transponder. And that could be anything.and these babies flying around the area?
The effectiveness of any radar system is greatly dependent on the software that filters the raw data and the operator that interprets what is left.

The game was evidence, all evidence will be held until the investigation reaches some sort of conclusion. Pretty stock stand procedure in any criminal investigation.

There was also some skepticism of the adventurer (Blaine Gibson) in the documentary as he has ties to Russia, speaks fluent Russian and was somehow at the right place at the right time to find the debris.
Russia have also used false aircraft debris before to mislead investigations.
But in this case, it is probably conspiracy hogwash to hype up the documentary.
