Malema charged over 'kill the boer'

i have always focused on the issues, overlooking the individual as hard as it was

Um, wasn't it you that started the thread about Malema being a hero just a couple of weeks ago? You managed to overlook a hell of a lot then.

I'm afraid that the net result will be negative wealth, the people will have to contribute in the form of lost jobs and higher taxes !

Are you ready to make your contribution ? Maybe you can get a job at Nandos ! Chicken plucker ?

It might be to complicated. Please find a less mentally taxing job description.

Looks like Afriforum joining in and taking him to court too. Make that 3 criminal charges. A nice day this one :)
Johannesburg - Civil rights group AfriForum's youth division plans to hand a list of more than 1 600 farm attacks to the ANC Youth League at Luthuli House on Thursday.

AfriForum Youth's National chairperson, Ernst Roets, said the movement would also submit a complaint against ANCYL president Julius Malema to the equality court, directly after handing the list of farm attack victims over.

"These steps follow after Malema sang the song "dubula ibhunu" (shoot the boer") at least twice at public occasions this past week," said Roets.

"The list of victims that will be handed to the ANCYL serves to remind them that farm attacks are a reality in South Africa that cannot be taken lightly," said Roets.

The list would be handed over at 13:00 on Thursday.

Roets said Malema's statements were extremely irresponsible and in no way justifiable.

Sings and sips bubbly

"We are not busy with childish cowboys and crooks games," said Roets.

"Real people are being murdered while Malema sings and sips champagne."

He said the movement was inundated with complaints from people who were highly offended by Malema's statements. "People are extremely emotional and many say that they fear for their lives."

Roets said Afriforum Youth would ask the court to classify the song as hate speech and order Malema to apologise "unconditionally" for singing the song.

They would also ask the court to compel Malema to pay compensation to an organisation that assists farm attack victims.

They also want the case to be referred to the Director of Public Prosecution for Malema to be prosecuted on criminal charges.

You know there's nothing "natural" about things like platinum and diamonds and gold representing 'wealth'; in fact, for a non-industrialized culture these are more or less useless. In other words, the only reason the minerals have any value at all, is thanks to the demand artificially created by the modern global industrialized economy created mostly by whites (unless you can tell me the blacks were producing things like platinum catalytic converters and diamond-tipped industrial drill-bits before whites arrived --- and the jewelry economy is pure excess, it exists only on the back of mass disposal wealth). In fact before whites arrived here, blacks were literally just sitting on all the gold and diamonds and platinum and other mineral wealth in this country. Just sitting on it. For hundreds of years. There for the taking. Nobody else trying to take it. And it was as useless to them as the dirt it was in. No technology to get it out. No desire to get it out. No realisation it might have any value at all. Now after learning from whites that it has value, you think you have a chance at making some money by selling it to --- um, whites. Ag shame, even when you 'nationalise' what you call the 'natural' wealth you're basically still dependent on whites for that income --- if whites in other countries didn't exist with their fancy industrialised economies, there would be nobody to even sell the stuff to (OK these days the Asians too, but that's very recent in history). You can enjoy the 'natural wealth' by looting and plundering it, but you'll never enjoy the feeling that comes from actually producing wealth. Call me a racist, I don't care, I know I'm not, you know this is true, and personally I think it's actually really, really sad when you think about it. I honsetly wish it wasn't this way. It's a tragedy.

Tjoe-tjoe! Here's comes the one track train. jimmj, do have a single other thought in your mind or is this the only thing you are capable of talking about? Since you have clearly shown us that you know nothing about the economics of this situation perhaps you should remain silent?

Can you believe they are claiming that singing racist songs like this are allowed, because it is only intended against those that still oppress blacks?

The unschooled masses who support this action are not going to be interested to ask every white person if he oppressed someone before killing him.

What if some prominent white person sang a song which goes like this: "Kill the k@$#&!s because they are murderers".

Do you think he will be allowed to get away with it if he states that it is only meant against those people who murder whites because of their skin colour?

If this is not double standards and racism in its worst form, then I do not know what is.

A friend recently made the comment that the ANCYL must create the illusion that there is still a 'struggle' going on, so that they are seen relevant in the new SA.

Without it, they would be out of jobs.

They should make him guilty of every farm killing that occurs as he is the one promoting it!

So if say someone like Eugene Tereblance call on white people to Kill the balcks they are racist rapists... It's oke?

Exactly. If Julius gets away with this, then the Kword is available again, too.

Malema will just say it was a figure of speech not to be taken literally, and that he meant kill the opression. Go figure.
