I knew a guy many years ago who studied B.Sc physics and CS, then did a B. Eng (earned top marks in the faculty), then went back to physics because he wanted to do more fundamental research. Research at the Engineering faculty leaned a bit too much towards what industry sponsors wanted. Back at physics he did an Honours and Masters at the same time. The dept made an exception with him allegedly because of his intellectual capabilities.

One of the EFF leaders also studied BSc Physics at Fort Hare University, he then went to UCT and did the BSc Chem Eng 2 year conversion course, passed it with First Class honours.
 
Makes no difference to me. The prick is still a leech living off tax payers. As are most of the useless politicians.
It will be entertaining to see how many politician are actually not screwing over the tax man and can rely on their own income.

I am all for having as much education as possible, but I never understood why people stay so long at University and become a professional student of sort. There is a time to start working as well.

I don't think that a BA degree is worth anything these days. I myself do like to read philosophy and other BA subjects for my own leasure, but it does seems to be something that most people can understand only by reading themselves.
