ANC Youth League president Julius Malema has sent a threatening sms to SA Communist Party (SACP) deputy general secretary Jeremy Cronin following the former's embarrassing appearance at the SACP conference, City Press Reported on Sunday.

"If you thought you have taught me a lesson, wait until you see what is coming your direction," Malema reportedly texted Cronin after he was booed at the SACP's conference in Polokwane.

City Press reported that several leaders within the ANC and SACP have confirmed the sms.

Cronin would not confirm the sms to the paper and would only describe Malema's language as "rather loose...I ignore that kind of thing."

"We want to have a constructive relationship, not with individuals but with the ANCYL collective," said Cronin.

Last month, Cronin and Malema exchanged combative words. In the SACP newsletter, Cronin said that those who called for nationalisation of mines, such as Malema, did not understand the economics of the issue. Malema fired back, accusing Cronin of being a "white messiah".

Both the ANCYL and the SACP could not be reached for comment.

lol you are confused since he is communist you will struggle to find a "white" that supports him never mind one that thinks he is "our" saviour, he supports your anc policies and you should be supporting his beliefs.

anc + sacp = :love: therefore Jeremy Cronin should be seen as a anc / sacp messiah not a "white messiah"

lol - isnt zuma the messiah ... or he will rule until then or something like that

it boils down to anc supporters forgetting that they are actually communist and have somehow gotten the idea that sacp are different from them and now see cronin as the enemy since he is white, they should of thought this out better before taking them in as bed fellows

Now you have potential of the communist party pulling out of the alliance and opposing anc in next elections ... interesting times we live in, and we should encourage mal - enema to speak his mind since he does alot of good

the anc who is communist but pretend not to be are all for nationalisation while the communist party who are communist in name only it seems dont want nationalisation. :wtf:

Why are RDP houses and the tripartheid (hmm, sounds a lot like Apartheid, doesn't it?) alliance similar? Both start falling apart after a short while.

Waiting in the shadows for aparthied to happen , that aint gonna happen . At the end the african will rule until the clock stops ticking . ANC or no ANC , this is an African country that will be ruled by Africans only . Finish and klaar

You clearly misunderstood what I was saying. Apartheid was a crap idea, just as this tripartheid alliance is a crap idea.

You know why communists haven't taken over the world yet? The leaders can't wait to stab each other in the back to get to the top. Socialism, communism, fascism, call it what you like - they all fail.

By the way, don't launch personal attacks if you don't know me.

that being black africans i presume?, so if I could do a reverse MJ would I be classed as african since my forefathers where here long before the first black man fled the stronger northern african tribes and ran after the khoi who being fewer in number seemed easier to bully?

Yes Africans = blacks . You are european , you will rule in europe . just like our Indian freinds know , if they wanna rule they go to New Dehli . The african `s land is in africa , chinaman in china yours is in Europe .

seems fair I suppose, since africa was built up by africans, you should get to enjoy your accomplishments without bloody whitey telling you what to do
