Man dies while motorists steal

Cooking oil, more valuable than a human being's life...

I know of an incident where the locals stole the shoes off 2 injured people in a plane crash (in Benoni) and when the ambulances arrived, they demanded a 'reward' for saving the pilot and his passenger. The started protesting and throwing things at the medics when the 'reward' was not forthcoming.

My brother in law got run over on his bicycle a few years back and the hospital staff stole jewelry from him before he died.

After hearing a lot of empty promises my sister just left the matter there. Thieves are everywhere and in this country one litterally CAN get away with murder.:D

People who get into accidents on N2 in Cape Town, that's near the airport, are usually robbed. The workers who work on the roadworks there also get robbed frequently. By whom? Members of the local community.

This is not new, I'm glad it's being publicised but it won't change. Some people lack decency - or morals. It will take generations to improve that, not in our lifetimes - not this century either.

maybe they checked and he was already dead?

Well according to the eye-witness nobody bothered to check and see if the guy was alive, nor did anyone call an ambulance. Regardless of whether or not he was dead, someone should have alerted the authorities instead they worried about grabbing cooking oil. No excuses can be made to justify the actions of these people. They should be charged with culpable homicide.

why didn't they "eye witnesses" help the guy? or were they part of the cooking oil party?

Good question! I'm not sure. Perhaps more information will come to light.
