AS a fierce backlash against racially charged utterances continues to rage throughout the country, a Port Elizabeth housing construction manager, who allegedly repeatedly called his workers the k-word, has been fired.

Sebastian Klue, who is in his 60s, was dismissed yesterday by O Steyn Construction, which is overseeing a government-funded social housing project in the city.

“I have nothing to say the company will issue a press statement,” Klue said.

“I have been fired. How would you feel if you were to be fired? “The least said about this the better.” When workers asked Klue why he used the k-word, his response was that he had been calling black people k****r for more than 60 years.

It's PE's turn to get in on the action.

More minor distractions to keep everyone's attention away from the ANC.

Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the 'nation' to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority. ~ Arthur Schopenhauer

I used to work for a company when I was younger and the owner and one of his employees had a very strange relationship.

The owner would refer to said employee as a k****r while he'd in return respond with ''Ja, mlungu'' or he'd walk it to the office and ask ''Where is the old bastard?''

When I asked if the use of k****r bothered him the guy said no because the owner is old, so he ''understands'' why he uses the word. The two worked very well together and this guy was actually a key employee that the business relied on.

Strange relationship.

Takes all types I suppose.

Yesterday, a manager was escorted out of the building in my workplace for some Facebook comments that were made

**** is getting crazy. People should really stay off Twitter and Facebook.

Yep, people take it for granted that they are public platforms. Yes you are connected to people that you "trust", but all it takes is one share or retweet from one of your connections and you are fooked.

Rather keep your comments for the braai with your friends

Or don't... That's how people turn their kids into racist dingbats.

What were the comments?

Commented on a article where a white child was allegedly raped by a black man.

Was some rubbish along the lines of: "Whites should go and rape and kill the kids of these blacks to show them what its like"

Yip - because bigotry goes so well with a well cooked piece of meat. A racist in trusted company is still a racist.

Dafaq?

People really post next level idiot **** to Facebook!

We also had someone escorted off the premises for using the k word. It seems it's the season to be merry... and racist.

Wasn't just on Facebook. Or so I am led to believe - apparently had a bad attitude towards non-whites in general (the post just gave others in the office the chance for which they were waiting to escalate to HR)
