How do the Americans in the movies manage to wheelspin their auto's?
No ABS, massive amounts of engine power and a foot on the brake. It's pretty easy.

I'm too afraid to turn off ESP in my front-end heavy FWD car.
Reminds me of a TopGear episode I watched a while ago.
Some form of Vauxhall/Opel, which was in the same class as the Mazda MPS and some other car. The Vauxhall had so much understeer it kept on going straight even after Jeremy turned it all the way left or right
Found it:
I'm also old school. I get bored in an automatic car especially if it also has cruise control. Just sitting there doing nothing....
Can you even turn off esp in main stream modern cars? Your car seem to be a handful, especially when the roads are wet, so I don't think that would be a smart thing to do anyway.I'm too afraid to turn off ESP in my front-end heavy FWD car.

AMG definitely. Nothing like a 360 wheelspinYou can in driver-focused performance vehicles. Not exotics but vehicles like the Civic Type-R, AMG vehicles, Audi S & RS vehicles.
Ok, I don't recall ever driving a car where you can switch the esp off. I will need to work a lot harder it seems. You can in driver-focused performance vehicles. Not exotics but vehicles like the Civic Type-R, AMG vehicles, Audi S & RS vehicles.
In a Datsun Go you can't switch it on.Ok, I don't recall ever driving a car where you can switch the esp off. I will need to work a lot harder it seems.
Isn't that just switching off the traction control, that doesn't switch off esp. Or am I mistaken? Most cars have that button? You need to turn ESP off if there isn't any traction (think really muddy). It took me a minute to figure out that traction control was just killing any throttle input the first time that happened.

Mine has Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ASR traction control. But no, I can't switch it off.Isn't that just switching off the traction control, that doesn't switch off esp. Or am I mistaken? Most cars have that button?
I can turn it off in my Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost which probably counts as a main stream car...Can you even turn off esp in main stream modern cars? Your car seem to be a handful, especially when the roads are wet, so I don't think that would be a smart thing to do anyway.
Yes you can, but with the cheap RoadStone wheels on front I am sure even with ESP on my 407 will scare most drivers. The amount of time you have your foot flat out in a turn and there is absolutely no power because ESP is trying to keep you from hitting the curb - happens a lot.Can you even turn off esp in main stream modern cars?
