Nah the cop was an ass , this weekend I got puled over and asked the same question why are you puling me over , the JMPD officer did not go on like this.
like Marius said not all of them are like this but this guy had an attitude , how dare you ask.
And there's the problem, you never know what pos is going to pull you over.

The JMPD cop was having a terrible day.
He killed me when he said, i dont have time to deal with people emotional issues like what does that mean even.

They both could have handled it better. The cop probably thought he’s just another arrogant rich guy in a fancy car when Marius asked him “for what?” Also that hand gesture in the mirror when the cop was behind was quite rude.

We don’t have time to deal with people’s emotions.

I don’t know the law but do the police need a reason to pull you over?

Example, what if they had gotten a report of a stolen Aston Martin that matches this description?

There could be a number of reasons why they want to pull him over without him being aware that he’s done something wrong.

How’s the cop expected to respond?
By answering why he pulled him over. Not starting to babble like a cVnt. Typical how it is these days. The pie hole opens and if you gave him more time Apartheid and Oom Paul would be in the speech.

My point was you don’t just gesture like that while still in your car since the cop can’t respond. You ask him that after you’ve pulled over.

Also, side by side with cop don’t yell through the window “why are you pulling me over”

We need to have some common courtesy, decency and respect in this country.

This is how things should have unfolded:

-You get pulled over.
-The officer comes to you.
- Always be polite and greet
- Continue from there

Don’t go around questioning people from your car.

The police have it tough as it is, they shouldn’t have to deal with people’s emotions too.

I don't see why you can't ask why you were pulled over?

If its a roadblock that is obvious. They are going to be checking licenses, seatbelts, roadworthiness etc.

However, a random stop, you should have the right to know why.

Would you ask a cop in traffic through your window why he’s pulling you over?

Or would you pull over and then ask why?

Do you think the cop would have reacted the same had it been the latter option?

I agree, But I also feels that cops should adopt the bigger man approach, in this instance,

Cop: Pull over!
Marius: What for?
Cop: I said pull over!
Marius: /Pulls over, grumbles about whatever.
Cop:/Comes over, get on with the business since it's clear that the pleasantries ship has sailed. Tells Marius why he is pulling him over.
Marius: /Protest his innocence.
Cop:/Gives him a warning/writes him a ticket or arrest him.

End of drama.

Yes agreed and like I said they both could have handled it better but remember the cops are people too and just like Marius having emotions, so do they.

Likely not through the window but I'm asking what I done wrong when I pull over if he doesn't tell me why first.

Which is normally how it works when you get pulled over.

I think people are misunderstanding the “don’t ask me why I’m pulling you over” to mean don’t ever ask. You’ll obviously find out why you’ve been pulled over once you’ve pulled over.
