Mass Effect: Andromeda

Watched a number of life-streams and even if they fix the dopey looking characters and animations/floating characters it is still a push to ask 1.5K for the deluxe PS4 version (standard is 1.1K). It just reminds me about all the hype with For Honor and Ghost Recon and both turned out to be junk.

Not sure about For Honor but GRW is certainly not junk. Its not brilliant but certainly not as you put it.

Well, GRW standard version is 1K (without season-pass) and deluxe edition is 1.4K (the season pass gives you then two major DLCs). I played all the GRW betas and the AI of enemies was just daft. The only cool thing about the game was the use of drones, but even that tired quite quickly. Once you are over the first few missions, it becomes pretty repetitive. In For Honor I only played the multi-player beta and their P2P connectivity was horrible - I understand that this continued beyond the beta (never thought that For Honor would have any longevity though).

With the little time I have, I want to be pulled into a good story/visuals (HZD) or to drop in for a few quick games (was hoping that The Division and then For Honor would do that, but I find myself going back to Destiny after some time-out). I expected more from MEA, especially considering the amount of time/money spent - in the end it seems that it is not substantially better than ME2/3.

75 on MC.. well that's a letdown. I was hoping this would be my next game after BOTW. It can still be fun though.

The Division did that for me, had a good story that pulled me into it, as a cover-based RPG at least and wasn't too deep but I don't think it was meant to be a year-long fest, and now theres talk of year 2 content as well and possibly Division 2. Overall besides the moaning from players I think Massive did a splendid job.

I've read enough to convince myself that despite some bugs, glitches and the human animations, it's worth a try. I see a lot of similarity to the original Mass Effect, which was used to set up the rest of the series. Some stuff will be patched, some probably can't - doesn't really bother me as a fan of the series.

Just ordered mine on Raru for R889...

I'll buy this once I can get it for less than R600. Hopefully by then they would have addressed some of the issues. Still very disappointed by this. Gamers should not be rewarding developers by paying R950 plus for crap like this. It is supposed to be AAA after all.
