Mass Effect: Andromeda

Hope CPY crack it soon then once its a good price for its value ill buy it.

You've finished it already? :wtf:

Yes - did not even rush it and did all the side-quests and have the plat-trophy. Truly an amazing game - will perhaps go and hunt down the few collectibles I do not have. I was keen on MEA and starting reading up on reviews - I think this will be mixed mess of Division and Ghost Recon. Not quite sure what to play next on PS4 (Nier perhaps?).

Really disappointed. I enjoyed ME2/3 but watching the various videos and reviews reminds me very much of how Division launched (or how overhyped For Honour was). Don't think I will drop 1K on something like this (time to replay HZD one more time).

WAB didn't have much positive to say on HZD either...

That guy admitted that he's never played a ME game before. How can he be in a position to give an opinion to fans of the series? A lot those criticisms apply to the previous games as well.

The animation criticisms from basically everyone is a valid point. That should not be happening in 2017 and is very amateurish. I'm not sure if it's even something that can be patched...

Well, everyone praised Ghost Recon and For Honor and both games are a pile of garbage. The same hype train was with No Man's Sky. I think HZD is a solid game and only a few minor issues. I would be more forgiving on MEA if it was not selling for over 1K.

I Nearly bought the PS4 just to play HZD...but I hate consoles so I decided against it.

Never ever trust mainstream gaming media and reviewers. Certain youtubers with big money sponsors behind them can't be trusted either. Like when i watches Angry Joe play a early copy of Mafia 3, he was going on and on about how great it was. I immediately got suspicious and while I didn't end up playing it to form an opinion on the game myself i did hear it wasn't great.
I only trust player reviews, usually on the steam page. I also like to watch "The Know" on youtube, they are not biased (as far as i can tell) and their sponsors are not in the gaming industry so they have no outside pressure to spin the story in a more positive light.

These game sequels aren't really shovel-ware but you can understand why more and more people are applying the term to them. The AAA publishers want to "shovel" them out the door to the masses so they can make a quick buck. EA and Ubisoft is especialy guilty of this, Ubisoft at least seems to have wizened up a bit now they are slowing the pace and looking at reviving old ip's or making new ones. If they will put more effort into quality remains to be seen.

I agree with your post. Early impressions are never truly conclusive. Yeah, as per the impression we would probably have to wait on the remastered edition :p

Huh? Angry Joe criticised the game, giving it 6/10.

Might not have been Angry Joe now that i'm thinking about it but the fact is some youtubers get paid. I have no issue with them getting paid but don't try to fool me into buying something under false pretenses.

I was trying to find some info on facial customization for mass effect and i came across a video of a youtuber that was invited by EA to an play event so they can review it. After 3 hours play time he mentioned the facial animations and was trying to play it off as nothing and said that Bethesda put their time into more important aspects of the game. Bethesda makes rpg's, you are supposed to get invested in your character so i'd say what the character looks like matters a heck of a lot.

well... my pre-order for pc is in

I have around 700 hours of ME3, so even if MEA is only half the hours, it is still worth the R1000.......

Where or what will give you enjoyment for that price for that long????

Bioware is only human after all.

I get that people are upset or even a tad bit angry but his dude is just damn rude!

I wonder how many dicks @allierosemarie sucked to get her gig as a lead designer for @bioware?

Reviews are starting to come in on Metacritic. Seems a bit mixed but definitely not bad...

Watched a number of life-streams and even if they fix the dopey looking characters and animations/floating characters it is still a push to ask 1.5K for the deluxe PS4 version (standard is 1.1K). It just reminds me about all the hype with For Honor and Ghost Recon and both turned out to be junk. MEA will probably go down the same route as The Division where it took months to patch the game - by that time the playerbase had moved on. I think I will buy once the PS4 version drops below 600 bucks. Don't think it is worth the 1.1K (HZD or Witcher 3 is around the R800 mark and are great games)

Considering the game cost USD40m and took 5 years to develop makes me wonder how they could produce such a pile of sh*t.
