Mass Effect: Andromeda

Anyone got issues connecting to origin? I had no luck connecting last night at all.

That's just rehashing that rock, paper something early impression. Kotaku had good things to say. Wait for the official reviews to come out.

I don't understand this fear mongering based on one guy's opinion - now people are even writing articles on his opinion. It's just a matter of time when there's an article on this article on the original article...
 
So I have EA access. I cannot load Andromeda early trial. EA LOVES Africa.
 
Played the trial on the Xbox One a bit last night, if the graphics are downgraded I honestly did not notice I was far more interested in how the game runs and controls. Although I've only played about an hour I haven't had any major fps drops during gun fights, I actually enjoy the scanning tool (It's optional, you do not have to do it if you don't want to) and the UI is not THAT bad, believe me I've seen way worse.

I'll give it another go tonight when I'm back home from work and then I'll check if I can find any glitches or game breaking bugs.

Just the one negative preview. I think that guy is still too tied to the original trilogy. ME1 too had many of the same complaints. Characters that you don't really care about etc. Like I couldn't care less whether to choose to save Aiden or Ashley. I only chose Ashley because you could shag her. But by the end of the game you do end up caring about the characters, except Ashley, she was still annoying.

I think this will follow the same path as ME1. No need to panic because the story probably isn't going to be wrapped up in this game, just like the original trilogy...

I've never really been one for the story. I want to level up and kill things :)

Nah she was irritating, constantly going on about her father, something I couldn't give a damn about. Miranda was cool, but that's ME2. And that's the point, this is going to be closer to ME1 than the others. Whenever you start a new story, it's going to take a while to get into the characters...
 
Not happy main story might be a bust.. a little more interested in throwing some money at this but will see actual reviews are come next week.
 
I watched around 15 minutes of gameplay on Twitch earlier today. I really, really like the idea of flying around space and doing space stuff, but goddamn the game tries hard to suck. Not sure if I'm gambling on this. Maybe when it's cheap on CDKeys someday.

The story might be new but still the same ME franchise, so in all essence it should be an improvement. Having said that, it will be a day one buy for me. Its a risk I'm willing to take :D
 
Two things will happen.
Either SJWware will fix their animations and dialog, or it will crash and burn and I can pick it up No Man Sky 2.0. in the bargain bin.
