The graphics were an improvement over one and two and controlling it on the 360 was fine. Yes not having a massive squad to control like in two was a bit of a wtf and the stupid War assests thing that was affected by multiplayer was also like WTF!!! and having a key member of the team locked behind a paywall also WTF!!!

CD keys is pretty good as far as I know, have bought 4 games so far without any problems. Apparently G2A can be a bit dodgy...

I have bought loads of games from CDKeys. It's the only place I usually preorder games or buy newish games. Never a single issue, and their customer support was good too when I wanted to cancel a preorder.

I've had 3 issues with G2A: 2x GOG keys turned out to be stolen and 1x Steam key wasn't valid. G2A Shield only helps with the first GOG issue, as GOG support confirms nicely to you what happened and that buying GOG games anywhere but GOG.com is against their terms of service and can result in account closure. So obviously you'll to be too scared to open another ticket about the same issue after that. And without a screenshot of your GOG correspondence, G2A won't refund you if you open a dispute.

I don't buy GOG games on G2A anymore. In fact all I do buy from them is cheap antivirus and other software codes. Their dodginess is well documented.
 
How I really want to pre-order this game... I played the previous three and enjoyed them immensely. But after the big disappointment of pre-ordering NMS....

Agreed, no issues yet with CD Keys but I'd avoid G2A unless a recognized seller.

The thing I'm worried about is that the characters don't really seem like the type that I could bond with, like the original trilogy.

From the videos it seems like generic characters in a generic action game.

I'm hoping that it's one of those cases where you don't get the full feel from a trailer, and the finished product is much better. Since it's Bioware I'll give them the benefit of the doubt...

To pre-order or not? Please make an informed decision

Definitely won't advise anyone to pre-order a game, even it the previews of it seems to be good. Can't wait for Mass Effect Andromeda however but those pre-order prices are just ridiculous! Please look at all the previews of the game first, and then based on your financial situation, decide to pre-order or not. I will just leave this here:

Nvidia today published its PC specifications for maximum performance and also revealed the game's numerous graphics options.

There are 16 options affecting image quality, most of which have variable detail levels. They include (deep breath): Ambient Occlusion, Anti-Aliasing, Chromatic Aberration, Effects Quality, Film Grain, Lighting Quality, Mesh Quality, Post-Process Effect Quality, Resolution Scaling, Shader Quality, Shadow Quality, Terrain Quality, Texture Filtering Quality, Texture Quality, and Vegetation Quality.

To get the maximum out of all of those options, Nvidia is recommending a GeForce GTX 1070 or 1080, which launched last year, or the new 1080 Ti, which goes on sale Friday.

For the rest of us mortals, here are the minimum specs, for a 1280x720 resolution:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD FX 6350
GPU: GeForce GTX 660
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (64-bit versions)
HDD: 55GB free space
DirectX: Version 11

And here are the recommended requirements, for 1920x1080 resolution.

No way I'm buying this game until reviews are out. Getting seriously mixed signals from the difference in quality from video to video. And also because I hated ME3.

Nah ME3 was awesome, probably the best one. Only the ending sucked, but I can't fault the journey. It was near perfect...

ME2 is one of my favourite games ever, but I couldn't play ME3 for more than 2 hours. Missions sucked, controls sucked, graphics sucked etc. No redeeming qualities to me. And that was a costly preorder and one of my most anticipated games.

So if you played less than 5% of the game how do you know it sucked...

Must be a PC problem because it played and looked use identically to 2 on consoles.

If anything I would say it was like one massive DLC to 2.

I also liked 2 more overall. But only marginally.

Hated 1. It was near unplayable by the time I got to it.

Back then I only played on PS3, and my preorder was for PS3. Traded the game after less than a week in my possession. It was heartbreaking to even try play it - everything that made me love ME2 was not present. The biggest issue by a million miles were the controls though, as they were most certainly not identical to ME2. They felt unnatural and were a constant struggle for me, whereas in ME2 they were second nature and I never consciously thought about them. I spent a lot of time in ME2 on PS3 being impressed by the visuals, and in ME3 the visuals made me want to throw up.

If a game controls badly I can't play it. It's why I also ditched Watch Dogs & Dragon Age Inquisition very quickly - I cannot enjoy myself if I have to fight with the game to control my character.
