The "extraordinary bravery" of the LNER worker who intervened during the train mass stabbing attack on Saturday has been hailed by his company.

Samir Zitouni, 48, also known as Sam, was last night fighting for his life after trying to stop a knife attacker who targeted passengers on a busy train.

Maybe the issue is that it is immediately assumed to be the usual suspects. And if it was someone screaming "Allahu akbar" no-one would have been in the least bit surprised.

Don't know about the queen and king events but those other 2 certainly seem to attract plenty flagshaggers patriotically imbued individuals from the mud island

Lovely story, but I've never waved a Pally or Ukrainian flag either.
