"Carrying a knife in public can already get you up to four years in prison, and the government said knife murders had dropped by 18 percent in the last year."
That only works if you actually stop and search. And stop and search was drastically reduced because police had to work in predominantly non-white areas of the city, where knife crime amongst rival gangs was the highest - so everyone inevitably cried racism.
That's curious. It's usually ones of north African origin who undertake these attacks. I wonder what motivated these two
By your definition, they need to show the political, religious, etc cause this was in aid of in order for it to be classified as a terrorist incident though.Remember these guys? They’re British, too.

What pisses me off the most is that the police refuse to say this is a terror attack. One nutjob, sure, they can use the “mental health” line like usual when someone gets all stabby. But, two is a coordinated effort to terrorise innocent people through violence.

- The first distress calls reach Cambridgeshire police at 19:39. A few minutes later, at 19:42, British Transport Police records their first call
- Eight minutes later, at around 19:50, after the train makes an unscheduled stop in Huntingdon, armed police board the train and arrest two men
On Google Maps at least it looks like they stopped at the earliest place they could've. Can't exactly stop the train in the middle of nowhere with nutters trying to stab people...
Stupid comment, there’s no way they can man metal detectors at every railway station, as it is there are some small stations that have no staff at all.
IIRC in the UK, around 50% of knife crime offenders are black males and 50% of the victims are black males.
It is stupid for them to pretend otherwise.
By your definition, they need to show the political, religious, etc cause this was in aid of in order for it to be classified as a terrorist incident though.
Why not a random attack though? It could be anything at this point.Come on. This wasn’t just a random attack. It wasn’t gang-related, either, which is the main reason black guys get cheffed up here. There is a motive. We just don’t know what it is. But regardless, if there is a motive, it falls under the definition of terrorism, and they need to call it what it is.
Come now, you know that's grasping. Like I said: one guy, sure (like the Afghan just the other day). But two guys? Same train carriage? Why not a random attack though? It could be anything at this point.
2 people stabbing everyone they could get to is terrorism. Why can't a "random attack" be terrorism? Just call it what it is.Why not a random attack though? It could be anything at this point.
2 make it premeditated terror attack because they hate their country.Come now, you know that's grasping. Like I said: one guy, sure (like the Afghan just the other day). But two guys? Same train carriage?
"So, what do you feel like doing tonight?"
"Dunno, bored - hey, let's go stab random people on a train!"
"any object that comes to hand in the heat of the moment"
Also, if this is just a "random attack", "isolated incident", etc, why is a massive police presence required on stations across the UK?
"any object that comes to hand in the heat of the moment"
many yrs back my housekeeper was in the kitchen making something for lunch.
she is busy making coffee and about to tuck in, when suddenly an intruder arrives in the kitchen telling her to sit down and keep quiet.
with that, she gets a fright and hurls the kettle (half filled with boiling water) at him.
being the genius he was, instead of ducking or side-stepping, he evidently thought it was a better idea to catch a flying kettle.
apparently he "sort of" caught the kettle, but the lid flew off - drenching his arms, chest and face with boiling water.
housekeeper fled, screaming for help.
two of her friends from houses on either side came high-tailing it in.
genius is at the sink with cold water - auntie from next door grabbed a big stainless steel frying pan, swung wildly, and planted it on the side of his head.
genius went down.
so indeed:
"any object that comes to hand in the heat of the moment"
Remember these guys? They’re British, too.
