My conclusion is a very simple one, stop bombing liyba, mount a ground invasion and remove qaddafi.

They would love to [mount a ground invasion and remove Qaddafi] but everyone is so twitchy after Iraq (especially the US) that they dare not make a move without Arab approval. The Arab’s DON’T want Western ‘boots on the ground’ (a ground invasion).

France especially is agitating for this and may go ahead unilaterally. The political fallout will be enormous with Arab nations blaming evil, oil hungry Western imperialism. Lose/lose.
