Sati did this at the end of Revolutions. What would the green tint signify this time around? The color grading is also very neutral in this vs the green tint of the earlier movies. Was obviously a conscious choice to do this, but for me it comes across as 'too normal'. The grading of the earlier movies added to the atmosphere.

Just saying, if you missed the back story, you don’t get the same value out of it. A lot of the good stuff flew over your head. Some did not stray
Actually I went in with nothing and left with even less.Wasn't bad. A bit cringe in some parts but the previous movies was as well.
Guessing some people just have over hype and crazy expectations.

This comment is maybe this is a sign of how bad movies have become generally?Guessing some people just have over hype and crazy expectations.
Agree with your post, but not this. I think the modern ST movies were a fair effort, after a few viewings I've come to appreciate them.... reasonable to have high expectations but the movies kinda sucked. Same with the new Star Trek movies.
Must have been unrealistic expectationsPut it on pause with 1h30min left and I’m not sure if I’ll bother going back to finish it.
It's people's expectations that are the issue right, not the lackluster filmmaking?

When a sequel to one of the best sci-fi movies comes out & people are surprised when other people have high expectations, and are even being finger pointy about it....that's not a good sign. Because people should rightly have high expectations for things they really like & that were really good. Same with the new Alien movies... reasonable to have high expectations but the movies kinda sucked. Same with the new Star Trek movies.
