The cANCer government doesn't distribute its tabloid/bogroll in my area, how am I supposed to comment on something I have never seen nor had an opportunity to review?

My response to the cANCer government is that the etrolling tariffs are unreasonable and I am only prepared to pay R0.00 per km in etrolling fees, whereas I am prepared to pay R0.20 per litre Gauteng only fuel levy provided that the money is ringfenced and is only used to pay for the GFIP debt with the additional provision that the construction oligopoly companies that hugely inflated the costs of the GFIP are forced to repay the money they have admitted to stealing from tax payers with SANRAL's approval.

I once got a fine for going through a red robot, in a part of town I NEVER went into on a day that I was at varsity. Took the time, went to the relevant police station, looked at the photo and saw that it wasn't my car, it was an OCR error. Instead of doing the right thing and squashing the fine, they made me go to the Prosecutor about 5kms away to get the fine squashed. I parked in the court parking lot, went up to the prosecutor, waited the hour to see him, was told he needed to see the current license disc from my car. I went down to my car, retrieved the license disc, went back up to the prosecutor and went back down to my car (I was about 25 minutes doing this), get back to my car to find a new fine plastered to my windscreen for not having/not displaying a current license.

They will find a way to make you pay your money...

hahahago back to them and get them to squash that too.. I'd have made them pay for petrol and made a huge stink about it too. Mind ye in Cpt i'd get it right.. here not so sure. Gov depts here are go slow compared to rest of places
 
I actually woke up at 4 this morning stressing about the future of SA.
I wonder if it's time to GTFO.

I do not believe ignorance is defendable... I mean, toll signs and giant tolls are kinda hard to miss.

There are currently alternative measures to pay etolls, that is why the e-tag isn't compulsory.

My VISA's are already in place :P So it's medium term plan for us.

I hate being a quitter but with hey i starting to think this is a loosing battle.

No amount of common sense can make people like Redeemed and Cool E and the likes of them see what they are doing to this beautiful country.

And yes sorry you must have been dropped on the head to hero worship the likes of Malema and Bob.

I suspect they're arguing that you're using a service (upgraded roads) but then not paying for it.

Analogous to going to a restaurant, eating and then wanting to leave without paying. They offer coupons for a discount but you don't have to use them.

Although, to make it more accurate: You're only allowed to eat from this one restaurant, with no option of going elsewhere. You are force-fed turds, told you have to help pay for the bills of other patrons, while they aren't helping pay for yours, made to pay bribes so that the suppliers can buy private jets, and you weren't properly informed about any of this.

The time has come for the public to fight this battle by not getting e-tags and by voting in the election booth next year.
 
E-tolling: The gloves are off

A major civil disobedience campaign against Gauteng e-tolling is being planned after the latest court bid to halt it failed.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court of Appeal dismissed a challenge to the tolling by the Opposition to Urban Tolling Alliance and others, meaning the tolls could go ahead by December as planned.

But the decision has not deterred many on the losing side. Part of the planned protest by Outa and trade union federation Cosatu will include encouraging Gauteng motorists to make it as difficult as possible for the SA National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) to collect the tolls.

Cosatu said the court decision would not affect its "campaign against this attempt to privatise our public highways".

Cosatu spokesman Patrick Craven said that a collective campaign by Gauteng motorists would derail the e-tolling system....

I'm not a big Cosatu fan, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend ( I just know that they are not really enemies and that makes me not trust them I will keep my eye on them)
