I'm wondering if there are more users out there that has invested in the new Mac Pro 8core... The machine is an absolute pleasure to work on by the way!
There are however some interesting behaviours I am picking up, specifically with Maya. First Performance... It seems to be very slow and only use one of the cores to operate... Mental Ray rendering is another interesting topic... Even using ALL the cores at the same time it's not even utilising 8% of the total processing capacity of the machine to render.
Being new to both Mac and reasonably new to Maya i am wondering if there's anyone that can possibly shed some light on this and improving performance?
