Mazda CX5 vs Nissan Xtrail

So, I've being driving the same car for the past 13 years. I've never been a 3-5 year trade in type of guy.

I'm afraid the 13 years might become 23 if I can't make up my mind pretty soon.

I've brought down my options to 2 SUV's (my family is growing :ROFL:).

Is there anyone out there with a personal experience on any one of them?
 
We ended up with the same choice a while back. Ended up going for the CX5. No regrets.
 
They are both very worthy, reliable vehicles. Both cheap to maintain (relative to what others in the segment cost). Jap cars are also known for being able to clock very high mileage so long as maintenance is kept up relatively well.

In this case, you can't really go wrong with either of them so decide which you prefer being in and go for that one.
 
Are they at the same price points and same kms? If so probably the CX5 then, it offers more nice extras,

Last year I was looking at the same options but ended up with the X-trail, main reasons for me was the warranty 6yrs\150 000km, the balance of service plan and that it was about R60k cheaper and 30 000km less than I the best CX5 I could find that didn't even have any warranty left.

Some feedback about the Xtrail, heavy on fuel in town 8km/l but does go down to 12/13km/l on the open road. Massive space in the cabin, with the rear seats folded down I could load a shower door with ease. Very comfortable to sit in and be in especially on the long road. Wasn't too keen on having non leather seats, but they clean easily and I have two young kids 8 and 5.
